Just a note/info on Flash Lite ignoring certain ActionScript calls. Once, when in the process of developing new applications, I discovered that a phone, which has a SWF file set as wallpaper or screensaver, ignores calls to external files (even though they are local to phone). Flash Lite ignores calls to loadVariables(), XML.load(). Incidentally,the same SWF file on the same Flash Player, but Standalone version, doesn't ignore calls to all these methods. Flash Lite developers, please do keep this in mind when developing applications or content for mobile devices using Flash Lite. :) |
